These locks have a 'split-spindle' function, which when used with a lever/pad handle set, stops anyone from being able to gain entry from outside without a key. Alternatively this lock can be used as a standard lever-operated mechanism.
This lock also has an Autolocking feature, whereby the user can fully deadlock the mechanism by lifting the handle upwards. The key is not required to lock it fully, only to unlock.
